The international IMO paper is shared across participating delegations, with translations into different languages. India, Japan and Brazil do not receive separate national versions of the six international problems. Their team-selection competitions, however, have their own papers.

Contest paper or shortlist?
The contest paper contains the problems actually set at that IMO. A shortlist contains candidate problems considered for selection and, when released, can provide a larger training collection. It is not an extra paper that contestants sat.
The official 2026 page currently lists the 2026 shortlist as available after IMO 2027. An unreleased shortlist should not be treated as a public practice resource. Older released shortlists can be selected through the official archive.
Where are the solutions?
Do not assume that a problem PDF includes solutions. Check the label of the released shortlist or the organiser’s linked resource. A third-party solution should be identified by its actual author and checked for correctness before use; it should not be presented as an official marking scheme.
Using a full paper
For a contest simulation, set aside two sessions of four and a half hours and attempt three problems in each. For ordinary study, choose one problem and allow time to explore it. Record useful partial results even when you cannot finish.
Afterwards, compare a complete written solution with your attempt. Look for the point where the decisive idea enters, and check every hypothesis of any theorem used. Medal tables are historical context; they do not replace a careful review of the mathematics.
