Optional website analytics
When enabled and accepted in the analytics choice banner, Google Analytics helps the editor understand visits and use of country guides, papers and study resources. Analytics remains off until you choose to allow it. Rejecting it does not restrict access to the site. You can change your choice using “Analytics choices” in the footer.
The setup is intended to measure page paths and broad resource interactions. It does not send the text you type into search or the contact form. Advertising storage and ad personalisation remain disabled. Google processes technical device and network information when analytics is active; see Google’s privacy policy.
Your choices
A local preference remembers your analytics decision for up to six months. Google Analytics cookies may be created after consent. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and removes this site’s Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already processed by Google. Browser cookie controls can also be used.
Contact messages and corrections
The contact form asks for your email address, message and topic. Your name and a related page link are optional. Messages are saved privately in WordPress and can be read by site administrators; they are not published. The editor uses your email only to respond to your enquiry.
A notification containing the message reference, topic and a private administration link is sent to mathiit.notes@gmail.com. The notification does not include your message text or email address. The editor may use email to reply after reviewing your message. Suspected spam is kept for private review without sending a notification.
Please include only what is needed for your enquiry. Do not send passwords, identity documents, candidate credentials, private student results or a child’s full name. File uploads are not accepted. Messages are retained for handling and following up the enquiry; contact the editor using this form to request access, correction or deletion.
Essential contact-form security
When you open the contact page, a secure first-party cookie named __Host-imo_contact is used to check that a submission comes from the same browser. It expires after two hours, is not used for advertising or analytics, and is required to use the form. The form works without JavaScript.
Submission limits use keyed hashes of your network address, browser token and email; the form’s abuse-control table does not retain their raw values. Short-lived security and duplicate-submission records expire within 24 hours and are removed by scheduled housekeeping. Ordinary hosting security logs are separate. Messages containing many links or suspicious markup may be held for review. Automated submissions, repeated messages and attachments may be rejected.
Hosting and links
Bluehost and WordPress process information needed to serve and secure the website, which can include normal server logs. Linked organisers and PDF hosts operate their own websites and privacy policies. We do not control their forms or registration systems.
