The International Mathematical Olympiad and the Science Olympiad Foundation’s International Mathematics Olympiad are separate competitions. The shared initials can make searches for “IMO syllabus”, “IMO results” or “IMO registration” confusing.

Which information does this website cover?
IMOolympiad.com focuses on national selection for the International Mathematical Olympiad. If you want your country’s route, start with the country directory. If your school notice explicitly names SOF, use its official website for that exam’s forms, dates and class syllabus.
Does an SOF award qualify a student for the international IMO?
Do not assume so. Qualification for the international competition follows the recognised national programme. For example, the India route is explained on our IOQM, RMO and INMO guide. Check the actual national rules for any invitation or exemption.
How to avoid downloading the wrong paper
Before using a PDF, read the full competition name, organiser, year and stage on its cover. A file labelled “IMO Class 6” and the six-problem international IMO paper serve different competitions. The initials alone are not enough to identify a paper.
