In Indonesia, mathematics is one of the subjects in Olimpiade Sains Nasional (OSN). A student aiming for the IMO should follow the appropriate mathematics selection programme and its later training invitations. An OSN medal does not automatically place a student on the international team.
Your school submits the OSN entry
Begin with the teacher or school operator responsible for OSN. The 2026 DIKMEN guide addendum describes school registration through the national achievement system and requires student identification and school confirmation. Check your NISN and school details with the operator before submission.
For this 2026 upper-secondary programme, the addendum includes Grade IX students at SMP/MTs and Grades X–XI at SMA/MA/SMK/MAK, with a specified exception for a Grade VIII OSN SMP mathematics gold medallist. The national stages and what follows
The 2026 DIKMEN structure includes school selection, district/city selection (OSN-K), provincial selection (OSN-P), a semifinal and a final. Use the stage named in your invitation when looking for a timetable or paper. OSN also has different education levels, so a guide headed SMP is not interchangeable with the DIKMEN guide.
