Find your country’s route to the International Mathematical Olympiad, then practise for the stage you are entering. Registration, local rounds, national finals and team-selection camps can work differently in each country.

Choose your country, then your stage

Start with the country you may represent. Its organiser decides eligibility; the place where you take a competition is not always the country you can represent at the IMO.

Select a country to find its guide, official contact and available mocks.

Mock papers available now

India has five original papers for each of IOQM, RMO and INMO. Germany now has five original sets for each covered stage: MO Schulrunde Klasse 9, MO Regionalrunde Klasse 9, MO Landesrunde Klasse 9, MO Bundesrunde Klasse 9, BWM Runde 1, BWM Runde 2, AIMO Initial Selection. Each has worked solutions and progressive hints. These are independent preparation materials, not official papers or predicted exam questions.

Worldwide coverage and what is still being built

The country finder covers current-reference entries in our worldwide directory and links to 34 country guides. These guides now show researched route summaries, including alternative entry routes and points that need confirmation. Germany’s practice collection covers the stages and school year explicitly listed in its hub. Brazil currently offers one OBMEP Level 2 first-phase paper for years 8–9. Other countries do not yet have original stage mocks. An official-reference entry is not a claim of a complete selection guide.

Training camps do not always have a fixed public exam format. Where a format is not verified, we provide the organiser route and preparation resources rather than inventing a timed mock.

How to use a mock

  1. Read the stage instructions and set aside the stated time. Keep hints and solutions closed during your attempt.
  2. Write your workings on paper. For IOQM you may enter answers in the browser and check your score after finishing.
  3. Use the hints if you are studying untimed. Review every attempted problem, including answers you reached by guessing.
  4. For proof papers, compare your reasoning with the worked solution. The self-review rubric is editorial guidance, not official marking or automatic proof grading.
  5. Use each problem’s learning links to repair a gap before moving to the next mock.
