The Mathematical Association of Nepal (MAN) describes a pathway from District Mathematical Olympiad (DMO) through provincial and national competitions to team-selection tests. Start with the district programme and confirm the notice that applies to your own school year.
Contact the district programme through MAN
MAN’s DMO description identifies Grades 8–12 as its entry group. The association’s homepage advertises the district programme, but this review did not establish a dated application deadline or a working current-season application form. Confirm the next registration arrangements with MAN or the district coordinator before making a payment.
Ask for the event year, eligible grades, examination centre, fee, deadline and confirmation procedure together. An undated programme description is useful background, but it does not settle every condition for the next sitting.
What changes as you progress?
The organiser’s individual pages describe DMO as an initial multiple-choice competition, PMO as a later analytical and proof stage, NMO as the national competition, and TST as further training and team selection.
Some summary and stage pages disagree on later-stage descriptions and numbers advancing. We therefore do not publish a fixed quota for each transition. Use the dated invitation or instructions issued for your round, and ask MAN if two pages give different arrangements.
Prepare for the change to written solutions
A student comfortable with DMO-style answer selection may still need practice writing proofs for later rounds. After solving a problem, explain why your method works and why it covers every case. When choosing practice material, keep the national round name attached to it. A DMO collection should not be described as a complete archive of PMO, NMO or team-selection papers.
