Route
School Round 1 and/or the permitted enrichment/final-entry route → IrMO final → squad of about twelve → two further selection tests → IMO team.
How to enter
Speak to the school’s mathematics teacher or a participating enrichment centre. The official eligibility document states that Round 1 is not a prerequisite for final-round participation. The national IrMO website confirms the next final on 23 January 2027. Contact an enrichment centre in the autumn; some centres may have an admission test. The national final identifies the squad, and two further tests determine the international team. The official IrMO resource page links collected problems for 1988–2023 and selected papers with solutions. It also groups training notes by subject. The current homepage publishes a Roll of Honour and explains the later squad tests.
Previous results
IrMO 2026 Roll of Honour covers the domestic programme. For international appearances, medals and contestant records, use Ireland in the official IMO archive. A national-round award and an IMO medal describe different achievements.
