One complete original paper is available now. It includes two hints and a full explanation for every question. The official examination is in Portuguese; this independent practice is written in English.
OBMEP Level 2 First Phase Mock Paper 1
20 original questions covering arithmetic, remainders, geometry, counting, probability and strategy.
How to use this paper
- Set aside 150 minutes and keep all hints, solutions and the answer key closed.
- Record one letter A–E for each question on paper. For exam-style practice, work without calculators, drawing instruments, reference material or electronic help.
- Afterwards, check the answer key: one mark for each correct answer, zero for a wrong, blank or multiply marked response.
- Read the reasoning, especially for any answer you guessed. Use one hint at a time for an untimed second attempt.
No answers are submitted or automatically graded on this page. Use the existing Print questions only or Print questions and solutions controls inside Mock 1.
Progression and official format
Schools enter students in the appropriate OBMEP level. First-phase advancement uses the school’s quota for that level, rather than one nationwide pass mark. Its score does not carry into second-phase awards. The 2026 regulations specify six written questions and 180 minutes for phase 2; this first-phase paper does not substitute for that preparation.
Format checked 28 September 2026 against the OBMEP 2026 regulations and released 2025 Level 2 paper instructions. The first-phase regulation provides 210 minutes for students covered by its disability provision; schools arrange accessibility. Follow your school and organiser’s instructions for the actual competition.
These are original practice questions, not official questions, predictions or a calibrated estimate of your qualification chances. Four more complete papers remain to reach this stage’s five-paper target.
